Phaedra Childers has served with Thunder in the Valley for 11 years, including the past seven as Event Coordinator.
She is featured in the latest issue of Her magazine, where she gives readers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the year-round work of producing an air show, and discusses the satisfaction of seeing local youth organizations benefit from it (more than $750,000 has been raised in the air show’s almost 20-year history).
“It has been a fulfilling career for me in so many ways,” Childers told the magazine. “But the two most thrilling aspects of it have been the hundreds of people I get to know each year and witnessing the joy it brings to beneficiaries through Air Show profits.”
